Anna Ferriero

About the poet:

Anna Ferriero is an Italian poet (Torre del Greco) for peace and cultural contamination. She is a member of WNWU (member of the World Union of National Writers of Kazakhstan). Mbizo Chrasha, an African poet, says of her: Anna is a brilliant poet of international fame. His poetry is a candlelight for the body of his audience. The lines have a sparkling rhythm like a musical ensemble of guitars, tamborini and drums. The sound of his verses is like the waves of a mighty sea that sometimes becomes soft like the flowing tenors of a great river. Reason is abundant and verbal dexterity is conservative while maintaining its literary ability. His poetry has been translated into 24 languages. You are a very talented human being”. Anna has published two poetry collections and two prose pamphlets.

Regale e profumata
sconosciuta nei mie versi
per la vita già donata
dove eterna Primavera
azzerava la realtà.
T’ho inspirata in riva all’Alba
baciandoti nel cuore
tra la danza dei gabbiani
portatori di sapienza.
Il re della tua essenza
dall’ ingente e vasto Zeus
nel maestoso firmamento
sotto aquile possenti:
eterna Primavera.
Dove Urania prese vita
Polimnia con Talìa
il poema del Gran Cosmo
fra aulòs ed ance doppie
m’hai rapita senza un ma
immortale nei miei sguardi.
Posso adesso ringraziarti,
eri tu, Pescara, nei miei sogni sempre viva
dove Omero e suoi seguaci
t’inghiottirono al Principio
per donarti al Mondo Intero

Regal and fragrant
you were unknown in my verses
for life you were already given
where eternal Spring
erased reality.
I breathed you on the shore of dawn
kissing you in the heart
between the dance of the seagulls
bearers of wisdom.
The king of your essence
by the large and vast Zeus
in the majestic firmament
under mighty eagles:
eternal Spring.
Where Urania came to life
Polymnia with Talìa
the poem of the Gran Cosmo
between classrooms and double reeds
you kidnapped me without a but
immortal in my eyes.
I can now thank you,
it was you, Pescara, in my dreams always alive
where Homer and his followers
they swallowed you at the beginning
to give yourself to the whole world

Ti racconterò con gli occhi
quando il mare andrà il letargo
tra i frammenti dei miei sogni
resterò senza il mio tempo.
Ti leggerò in silenzio
amandoti così
da lontano, in riva all’alba
che in tramonto nascerà.
Correremo fra la spuma
avvolti dalla sabbia
fermando quell’istante
inciampando fra corolle
di ortensie e girasoli.
Racconterò quel giorno
mentre il sole s’addormenta
e il tuo vento m’accarezza.
Mi sorride il tuo vestigio
nel nocciolo d’estate
amandoti così,
da lontano,
in riva all’alba

I will tell you with eyes
when the sea will hibernate
among the fragments of my dreams
I will run out of my time.
I will read you in silence
loving you like this
from afar, on the shore at dawn
that will be born in the sunset.
We will run through the surf
wrapped in sand
stopping that instant
stumbling among corollas
of hydrangeas and sunflowers.
I will tell you that day
while the sun falls asleep
and your wind caresses me.
Your vestige smiles at me
in the heart of summer
loving you like this,
from afar,
on the shore at dawn
